It’s your wedding. It’s the most special, thrilling and wondrous day of your life. It’s about two people binding themselves together for the rest of their lives, in front of people and family they love most. It’s the most amazing thing you’ll ever do. That’s why your wedding photographs should be truly amazing, too.

an individual approach, for photography as unique as you are

I wholeheartedly believe in photographing weddings in unobtrusive documentary style, also known as reportage or photojournalism, utilising natural light wherever possible. It’s the only way to capture the true heart and soul of your wedding day.

I also believe that weddings are about glamour and style and WOW! – which is why when it comes to your couple’s shots,  I’ll use gorgeous location lighting and a host of skills to create and capture moments of out-and-out fabulousness! But rest assured, the way I approach the couple’s shots is as relaxed and unobtrusive as possible, so that you’ll hardly feel like you’re being photographed at all.

I take exceptional time and care over each wedding I work on, not only during the build up to the day and on the wedding day itself, but also in the careful post-production of your wedding images. Each image is edited and hand finished to create photographs of utmost quality.

Every wedding is individual and that’s reflected in the way I photograph your day and process your images. I want you to love your wedding photographs and feel that they’re a real interpretation of your own personalities, tastes and style. So, I take care to get to know my clients prior to the wedding day, to build up mutual understanding and trust and to assist me to work as unobtrusively as possible on the day itself, for the benefit of you and your wedding guests.

I want to know all about your wedding, your wedding venue and what excites you most about it. Seeing your wedding through your eyes enables me to ensure that I document it just as you always hoped and wished for. Whether it’s a relaxed informal feel, or an elegant celebration at a more formal event, getting to know you means that I understand about your wedding even before I’ve picked up the camera.

I do understand that ‘formal’ group shots are an important part of many weddings, so these will of course be incorporated into the day, should you wish. For the comfort of your guests and partly to ensure that I have time to photograph your guests in reportage style, I’ll make recommendations on your shot list and on timings.

We’ll work together beforehand to make sure that those ‘must have’ group shots are captured efficiently and in a relaxed manner, without the need for your guests to wait around for hours. Normally, my group shots take less than thirty minutes – leaving you, your friends and family free to mingle and enjoy the day. Now surely that’s what weddings are all about!
